Apatosaurus was a sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic Period (about 152 million years ago) in what is now western North America. It was a large animal, being at least 20 metres in length, and weighed about 180kgs, but some old adults were probably a lot bigger.
Apatosaurus was a large quadrupedal dinosaur with a long neck and whip-like tail. Like most sauropods, it had a stout body, and its front legs were slightly shorter than its back legs. It was once thought that large sauropods like Apatosaurus would have been too heavy to have supported themselves on land, so were forced to float themselves in water. We now have fossil footprints that show that this is incorrect – they walked on land, although not very quickly, with top speeds of less than 30km per hour.

You are welcome to use this option if you would prefer to collect your order from our retail shop based in Petervale, Sandton in Johannesburg. You will receive an email as soon as your order is ready for collection. Collection times are between 09h00 and 16h00 Monday to Friday.
Shipping Rates:
We offer free nationwide delivery on all orders over R750. For orders less than this amount, a nominal flat rate fee of R90 will be charged.
Delivery by courier will take 24 - 72 hours to reach you depending on the area that you live. A guideline as follows:
Johannesburg / Pretoria - next day delivery from dispatch
All other major cities - 2 - 3 days from dispatch
Outlying and remote towns - 3 - 4 days from dispatch
A tracking number and estimated day of delivery will be emailed to you once the goods have been dispatched. Customers are responsible for having someone at the delivery address during the day to sign for and accept delivery. Please note our couriers are unable to deliver to a P O Box number.
Timeless Toys reserves the right to amend delivery prices for courier deliveries to very remote areas and for extremely heavy or peculiar sized or shaped items. We will always contact you first and will never charge extra without your consent.
If you need something in a hurry, please contact us to arrange a quote for priority courier service, although this will cost extra.
