Stegosaurus was a large armoured plant-eating dinosaur that lived during the Upper Jurassic Period (155-150 million years ago) in what is now western North America. It had an unusually small head, and although an adult would have weighed over 4.5 metric tons, its brain would have weighed less than three ounces. This led to the suggestion that Stegosaurus was extremely dull-witted, but it was clearly a successful dinosaur, so its small brain obviously wasn’t a problem.

Scientific Name: Stegosaurus, meaning ‘covered lizard’ for the bony plates that covered its back.

Characteristics: Stegosaurus has extremely short front limbs that gives it a very rounded back and places its small head very close to the ground. Because of this, it is thought that it would have been restricted to feeding at or near ground level. Stegosaurus has two sets of long bony spikes on the tail that probably functioned in defense against predators, and a double row of plates along its back.

You are welcome to use this option if you would prefer to collect your order from our retail shop based in Petervale, Sandton in Johannesburg. You will receive an email as soon as your order is ready for collection. Collection times are between 09h00 and 16h00 Monday to Friday.
Shipping Rates:
We offer free nationwide delivery on all orders over R750. For orders less than this amount, a nominal flat rate fee of R90 will be charged.
Delivery by courier will take 24 - 72 hours to reach you depending on the area that you live. A guideline as follows:
Johannesburg / Pretoria - next day delivery from dispatch
All other major cities - 2 - 3 days from dispatch
Outlying and remote towns - 3 - 4 days from dispatch
A tracking number and estimated day of delivery will be emailed to you once the goods have been dispatched. Customers are responsible for having someone at the delivery address during the day to sign for and accept delivery. Please note our couriers are unable to deliver to a P O Box number.
Timeless Toys reserves the right to amend delivery prices for courier deliveries to very remote areas and for extremely heavy or peculiar sized or shaped items. We will always contact you first and will never charge extra without your consent.
If you need something in a hurry, please contact us to arrange a quote for priority courier service, although this will cost extra.
