Forgotten Fairy Tales of Brave and Brilliant Girls is a collection based on eight traditional folk and fairy tales which haven’t become as well known as, for example, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, partly perhaps because their heroines didn’t meet Victorian ideals of beauty, passivity, and innocence. Fairy tales come from an oral tradition, so they were always changing — until the Victorians wrote them down, when they stayed the same for many years. To have meaning today, it’s important that fairy tales change with the times. So in this series, after their heroic and clever deeds, the girls don’t always end up getting married and settling down. They go off and have other adventures of their own. Every story may not end in instant marriage, but good triumphs over evil and there is always a happy ending. Stories included are: Kate Crackernuts, Snow White and Rose Red, The Sleeping Prince, Maid Maleen, Clever Molly, The Unusual Princess, A Cloak of Rushes, and Tam Lin.

Local Pickup:
You are welcome to use this option if you would prefer to collect your order from our warehouse based in Ferndale, Johannesburg. You will receive an email as soon as your order is ready for collection. Collection times are between 09h00 and 16h00 Monday to Friday.
Shipping Rates:
We offer free nationwide delivery on all orders over R750. For orders less than this amount, a nominal flat rate fee of R90 will be charged.
Delivery by courier will take 24 - 72 hours to reach you depending on the area that you live. A guideline as follows:
Johannesburg / Pretoria - next day delivery from dispatch
All other major cities - 2 - 3 days from dispatch
Outlying towns - 3 - 4 days from dispatch
Remote towns - 3 - 5 days from dispatch
A tracking number and estimated day of delivery will be emailed to you once the goods have been dispatched. Customers are responsible for having someone at the delivery address during the day to sign for and accept delivery. Please note our couriers are unable to deliver to a P O Box number.
For customers that live in remote areas (farms etc) or do not have someone available to sign for a courier delivery, we can send your order to a Post Box via the South African Post Office. Please enter your P O Box number and correct postal code on the check-out page and we will send your parcel via economy post and email you a tracking number. Please note this is not a preferred option and your order will take longer to reach you. The recipient of the postal order will be responsible for collecting the order from their local Post Office.
Timeless Toys reserves the right to amend delivery prices for courier deliveries to very remote areas and for extremely heavy or peculiar sized or shaped items. We will always contact you first and will never charge extra without your consent.
If you need something in a hurry, please contact us to arrange a quote for priority courier service, although this will cost extra.

Please select the gift-wrap option on check-out and feel free to leave a short message to the recipient that will be hand-written on a card. When you ship to a different address you can rest assured no invoice or pricing information will be included in the parcel.
When ordering a gift to be sent to a different address please ensure you keep your own name and address as the default billing details and then add the recipient's name, address and contact details on the shipping page at check-out.
