Tea is poured, the cake is ready and everyone’s invited! Djeco Lili Rose’s Tea Party is a brightly coloured wooden pretend play set for children aged 3 years and up, with everything they need to host a cosy tea for two or a make-believe birthday celebration.
Set out the cups and saucers, add the tea bags and offer a little pretend sugar before serving a slice of birthday cake. The cake separates into four quarters and comes with four removable candles, so children can enjoy the birthday ritual again and again.
A decorative wooden tray with two handles brings the tea-party scene together, ready for young hosts to arrange and serve their delicious imaginary treats. From teddy-bear picnics to afternoon tea with a grown-up, there are plenty of stories waiting to unfold.
Handling the teaspoons, placing the candles and serving the cake offers opportunities to practise fine motor skills and coordination. Hosting guests also encourages conversation, turn-taking and thoughtful gestures through familiar, screen-free role play.
Made with FSC® certified wood, this charming tea and cake set makes a lovely birthday gift and a special addition to a play kitchen.
