Turn the handle, listen to “This Old Man” and wait for a cheerful pop-up surprise! The Tolo Bio Musical Jack in the Box combines a classic musical toy with extra sensory activities for little hands to explore.
With an easy-grip crank, baby-safe mirror, squeaky push button and clicking star dial, there’s more to discover than the surprise inside. Made from bioplastic derived from wheat straw, this colourful activity toy offers different ways to enjoy hands-on, exploratory play.
Music, movement and anticipation:
Turning the crank plays the familiar tune “This Old Man”, building anticipation before the character pops up. Sharing the sequence together gives children opportunities to listen, watch and discover how an action creates a response.
As your child’s skills develop, grasping and turning the handle offers practice in fine motor control and hand-eye coordination. Offer help when needed and let them explore at their own pace.
Extra sensory discoveries:
The baby-safe mirror invites little ones to investigate their reflection, while the squeaky push button provides a sound to discover. The clicking star dial adds another way to practise small hand movements and explore cause and effect.
Enjoy the activities together by naming the sounds, pointing out the reflection and waiting for your child’s response. These simple interactions turn playtime into moments of shared discovery.
Wheat-straw bioplastic:
Made from bioplastic derived from wheat straw, the Tolo Bio Musical Jack in the Box brings music, movement and tactile exploration together in one characterful toy.
