Post, match and play with the Orchard Toys Peter Rabbit™ Posting Game, a charming first colour-matching game for toddlers aged 2 years and up. Featuring favourite Beatrix Potter characters and four colourful 3D houses, this hands-on play set invites little ones to learn through simple, engaging play.
Children post illustrated cards into matching coloured houses, discovering familiar friends such as Tom Kitten, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Squirrel Nutkin and Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle along the way. Look out for recognisable items from the Peter Rabbit stories too, including Mr. McGregor’s watering can.
With three ways to play, the game offers gentle progression from a simple colour-matching activity to a friendly race. Enjoy it as an individual posting activity or bring everyone together to practise taking turns.
Three ways to play
Game one: Match and post Children take turns posting a card into the matching coloured house. A simple introduction to colour recognition, matching and turn-taking.
Game two: Find your colour Each player chooses a house, then takes turns drawing a card. If the card matches their house’s colour, they can post it. This non-competitive game encourages matching, memory and an understanding of simple game rules.
Game three: Race to fill your house Add a little friendly competition! The first player to post all six matching coloured cards into their house wins.
Learning through hands-on play
Matching colours, handling cards and posting them through the slots give toddlers opportunities to practise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Shared play also encourages conversation, patience and social skills, with familiar characters providing plenty to talk about.
A thoughtful birthday gift for children aged 2 and up, this Peter Rabbit game brings together early learning, screen-free play and the pleasure of posting things through a slot, again and again.
Recommended age: 2 years and up. Contents: 4 3D houses, 24 coloured cards and 1 instruction leaflet.
